I read that having a regular exercise program helps raise HDL levels (the good cholesterol), and I realized that while I'd exercised regularly when I was younger, my worklife had started to take a toll and I wasn't making the time to play sports as much as I used to. Having high cholesterol was a huge wakeup call and got me back into a regular exercise program. The links below talk about what I did.
