The New 8 Week Cholesterol Cure

This was probably my favorite book.

The 8 Week Cholesterol Cure is more of a plan for living with high cholesterol than a diet.  This easy to read book offered very specific advice about what to eat and what not to eat as well as information on vitamin supplements, exercise, and lifestyle changes.  Most important, it offered reasons behind the advice.  I chose to follow the bulk of the dietary advice (this was where I first learned about how to choose low cholesterol red meat and natural supplements that would lower my cholesterol


The author also has a helpful quarterly newsletter that provides updated advice.

The recipes in the back of the book varied in quality, but the oatmeal cookies have become one of my favorites. It's so nice to be able to eat a cookie knowing that (sugar aside) the ingredients are actually helping my heart!
